You’re invited to join Sauvie Island Center co-founders Shari Raider and James Beard award-winning chef Cory Schreiber on October 4th for a celebration of fall flavors. The three-course meal is a benefit for the Center’s farm-based education programs. Each year more than half of the children visiting the Sauvie Island Center are only able to participate in the Center’s place-based educational programs through the scholarship program. Funds raised at the event will provide year-round support for farm field trips, Family Days and summer camps.
The three course menu, designed by Cory, will showcase seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients provided courtesy of Sysco, where Cory currently serves as a chef consultant focusing on sustainability. Wine pairings for each course will come from Hyland Estates Winery. Since 1971 this historic vineyard has been producing unique varietals, each with the ultimate expression of terroir. Seats are limited and tickets are just $100/person. Reserve yours today.
