Fall Volunteer Training Days, a tour, and a garden shape-up day.
September 9
Returning Volunteers can brush up on your skills and become reacquainted with the compost module by attending this 3 hour refresher course on September 9th from 9-12. RSVP to Jennifer at jennifer@sauvieislandcenter.org.
September 10
New volunteers are welcomed to our program, and trained to lead fall field trips on September 10th. Plan to be at our site from 8:45 am to 2:00. We will provide lunch, a beautiful location, good company and all the information you need to start working with children this fall. RSVP to Jennifer at jennifer@sauvieislandcenter.org.

Join the Sauvie Island Center staff as we show you around the Sauvie Island Organics farm and the grounds of Howell Territorial Park. You’ll learn about our educational, hands-on field trips for Portland youth, have an opportunity to explore the site with us, and learn about ways to get involved with our program. Do you feel like doing a little gardening in a fun group setting in a beautiful location? Join Jennifer and other volunteers for some weeding and other light garden work to get the Grow Lunch Garden ready for the rush of students coming on fall field trips.
