I grew up learning about food, farming and the land from my parents who are avid gardeners, outdoor enthusiasts and retired educators; many of the young visitors to Sauvie Island Center cannot make this same claim – a visit to the Center is often their first exposure to how and where food is grown and what it means to be a steward of the land. I encourage you to join me in providing these young people the access to this opportunity by supporting the Sauvie Island Center.
Thanks – Paul
Help us grow.
For more than 10 years, the Sauvie Island Center has helped Portland-area children dig into the dirt and learn about food and farming through our educational programs on the Sauvie Island Organics farm and in Metro’s Howell Territorial Park.
Join the Seedling Society – our monthly giving program. Membership is the most efficient way to support our work, putting more of your money directly into farm time for children.
