The majority of the schools participating in Sauvie Island Center field trips are enrolled in schools located in low income neighborhoods. Most of these schools are only able to participate in our programs though the Center’s scholarship program.  This is why your support is so important. What we need:

We will gladly except used, working condition, tools and supplies

• Garden gloves, youth and adult
• Full-sized spade shovels
• Hori-hori
• Compost and manure (high nitrogen if possible)
• Mulch
• Watering cans with shower heads
• Durable outdoor carts/wagons
• Seeds or starts (Primarily in the spring and summer)
• Art supplies: Colored pencils, youth scissors, watercolor, craft paper
• Printer paper
