What grows on a farm? We believe kids do.
Children are at the heart of the Sauvie Island Center. From exploring the farm on a sunny summer day to tasting veggies straight from the field during the fall harvest, everyday is Farm to School day at the Sauvie Island Center. We believe that kids understand where their food comes from, the whole community benefits.
Welcome kids! This is your place for to play the “Did it Grow in Oregon” game, search for kid-friendly recipes and even learn a few songs about farming. If you aren’t sure what kinds of crops grow in Oregon, take a look at this handy Grown in Oregon map from the Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom.
